Mexico City native Carlos Mendoza is a recent transplant to Oklahoma.
Mendoza's award-winning work in mosaic, painting and multi-media has been widely exhibited in contemporary art centers and competitions in Mexico, Bolivia and Bulgaria and was selected for Spain's III Bienal Internacional Alcobendas.
Since coming to Oklahoma, Carlos' work has been featured at MainSite Contemporary Art in Norman and Norman's first Forum on Racial Diversity (2016). While he enjoys working with portraits, Carlos' passion is in the creation of larger-scale public art projects using mosiac.
